Legal Background Information

We desire that the lives of our volunteer workers serve as a model for the kids in our ministry. Please answer the following questions that could negatively impact your involvement with children. Answering “yes” to these questions may not preclude your participation in Children’s Ministry.

Legal stipulations require the church to run a background check on applicants over the age of 18. You will be sent an email from Checker. Please fill out the form online, and we will contact you after we receive your background check.

Teacher/Volunteer Agreement

As a teacher of the Bible at Meadowbrooke Church we have a responsibility to be the best we can be as we teach others about Christ. We want everyone to feel welcome and loved while giving them the very best we can give. We thank you for using your time to serve and teach the Bible at Meadowbrooke Church. Please read the following and sign below if you agree.

As a teacher at Meadowbrooke Church, I agree to
Continually develop my personal relationship with Jesus Christ

Prioritize my conduct in keeping with the principles of the Bible and seek the Holy Spirit’s help in my life.

Maintain a Christ-like witness in my everyday life

Be faithful to my class by arriving at least 15 minutes prior to the class session and, in case of an unavoidable absence, notifying my director and securing a replacement

Lead my class members toward complete participation in the ministries of my church

Take the required time I need each week to prepare for the teaching session and seek to incorporate my own gifts in my teaching

Seek to build community in my class by helping class members and prospects know one another and support each other in prayer, fellowship, and ministry

Attend regularly scheduled volunteer meetings

Participate in one or more volunteer training events this year

Personally support the overall ministry of my church through my prayers, financial giving, and fellowship. As well as attending services on a regular basis.

With God’s help, I will seek to do my best in fulfilling this covenant.
